A must-watch!!!!!!!!! Lol

My Gas! Kumusta naman kasi ang pagka-aligaga ko when you know my Mac suddenly bumped into the floor you know! Pero here I am, sabi ko nga sa previous entry ko, renting a PC sa Station 168 Libis (kung saan may pinakamaraming Yobuseyos and Yobuseyas per square meter sa Libis) para lang mag-update ng blog!
So syempre to satisfy my Jologs friends who have been bugging me for another entry, I have decided to pay tribute to the greatest Pinoy jologs rap artist of all time - Andrew E. Haha. Serious ang lola mo! Nakakagalit nga dahil I tried my best to make halukay the youtube baul for excerpts from Humanap Ka Ng Panget the movie - where Zorayda is making loving-loving to Eddie Guitierrez, Dennis Padilla is making gaya to the brown tsaleko and baligtad na cap of Kuya Binoy, Carmi Martin is making that forward-back dance step in the beach in her one-piece tanga, Gelli De Belen is making Kate Gomez jealous by reviving Mr. DJ, and Nannette Medved trying to make kumbinse the Jimmy Santos to not jump from the building while Andrew E is also making selos in the background. Hay! The best Andrew E movie talaga!
Pero what did I get from youtube? Spongebob lip-synching Papa Andrew?
Kaya I'm sure you'll enjoy pa rin naman and everythang! This clip has our all-time favorite scene naman in local movies eh - you know, the dance sequence in Matabungkay or Puerto Azul beach - haha - with matching lambingan pa of Patrick Guzman and Lola Gelli de Belen!
And Lola Donna Cruz and that Kapag Tumibok ang Puso song! Kagagalit! Flat chested the Lola! Pero don't get me wrong ha, I adore her noh! I don't like lang when he's paired with Ian de Leon (no comment na lang ako why I dont feel it their tandem haha). Lola Donna is like a fashionista in the eyes of my great mama ha - talagang she bought us tatlong maria that polka dot preggy dress with matching knee-lengths puruntong to welcome the New Year - I can't even describe it pero what I remember was I had the green polka dots, Rhea had the pink, and Marianne had the electric blue ones! Taray all of us! Syempre may matchig turban pa yan! Haaay naman, I'm like inis because I don't have a picture of that noh, basta I know you know what I'm talking about!
Kaya naku ha, someone jologs better make abang this movie to Cinema One and record Humanap Ka ng Panget and upload it to youtube ha! Hay naku I'm really galit na talaga!!! :)

A: Chichay
Caloy para sa yo to!
It's surprising a few of my jologs friends know this one. Caloy, who is know very happy with his job in California who also introduced me to nostalgiamanila.com, sent me an mp3 of the hilarious Diego-go-go line three years ago. And thanks to youtube, eto andito na yung full scene!
Hahahaha. Love is blind, indeed!!! Pero come to think of it, sa pelikula lang yun nangyayari!!!
Vic: Dieo-go-go-go... Sumuko ka nah-nah-nah-... Napapaligiran ka na namin-min-min..
Tito: Hindi ako susuko!.. Sapagkat hindi ako si Diego!
Vic: Nyahah!
Those were the days!
Teka, teka, hintayin nyo pa yung hinanda kong She-Man, Mistress of the Universe..dyos ko day!!!

A: Inday Garutay
So I was torn between Lea Salonga and Inday Garutay. Who won? Ate Inday. Well, you can't blame me, when I tried to search for Inday Garutay on Google Images I only got 4 returns, si Lea Salonga, daming pages! So I oughta give this one to Ate Inday! Blame Google! :p
(I had to edit this part, nag-au-autostart yung video kahit ilang tumblling na ang ginawa ko to fix the script. Feel free to click na lang the link for the viedo)
Mega tawa naman si Kuya sa background. Haha. Talagang poker-faced ang Lola noh walang ka-rea-reaction! Parang as-a-fatter-of-mact lang parang ganun lang.
Hehe, may bigla lang akong naisip. I don't want to be mean, pero Ate Inday G. reminds me of my Computer class teacher back in High School. No she is not gay, she just looks like Ate Inday. Di ba, that's pagiging meany di ba? Pero I'm washing my hands on this. Hindi lang ako nagsabi nyan - may mas mean pa nga sa akin, they call her "Garutay". Now that's mean!
Back to Ate Inday, to be fair ha, hindi funny yung nangyari sa kanya sa Aruba, harsh nga yung discrimination that he experienced. Pero naisip ko rin at least she didn't turn out to be one of those showbiz people not in the circulation anymore who gets featured in "Wish Ko Lang" just because they made lustay their money and all that so that Vicki Morales can give them a pangkabuhayan showcase with squid, chicken, crab balls or a tricycle courtesy of Sinzki (or however that's spelled hehe). Like Ruffa Gutierrez in some sorta way, glamorosa pa rin ang lola!
In my last ditch effort to search for more images of Lola Inday, I tried Yahoo naman. Ouch, Nowhere to be found na naman ang beauty ni Lola :(
Sabagay, when I searched nga for Ate Luds (close kami noh!) yung bahay lang nya yung lumabas sa search results. 75 by 75 pixels pa! Hmmm... :p

Q: Who is the actress who portrayed the role of Hagedorn's wife in the movie Hagedorn (which was played by FPJ)?
A: Sharmaine Arnaiz
***
Mayor Hagedorn is now my Flickr Friend!!! I am actually his FIRST flickr friend! :p Don't want to believe me?
My extreme na pagka-starstruck with Mayor started since Day 1 planning of our Palawan trip late last month. "Yay! Makikita na natin si Hagedorn"! Nagbibiruan pa nga kami pagdating namin sa Puerto Princesa airport: "Oh, kala ko ba susunduin tayo ni Mayor?". Jake, Erlyn, Judith, Jackie and I sounded like broken records during our trip dahil everytime na nakakakita kami ng picture or billboard nya, napapadaan kami sa townhall or nakakakita kami ng magandang bahay, wala kaming bukambibig kundi HAGEDORN!!!
I was actually very curious sa kanya. In the tradition of my pagiging jologs, super walang kwenta ang alam ko sa kanya.
I know he is an Erap-look alike kahit na ba si FPJ ang gumanap sa kanya sa pelikula. Alam ko rin reelectionist sya, and he has the reputation like that of Mayor Duterte (Davao). My friend told me (after our trip) na he was actually the last official who stepped out of Malacanang with Erap, which made him the first one to greet Gloria.
But wait there's more!!! Meant talagang makadaupang palad namin sya - we checked in 5 mins before boarding time on our way back to Manila. Blessing in the sky, I mean blessing in disguise pala iyon dahil being a VIP eh huling nagboard ng plane si Mayor.
I bet, nag-book sya online nung November para sa 99+ promo nila just like us! Joke lang Mayor ha, we wab you! Lolo Hagedorn was not escorted, buti na lang di kami napagkamalang mga terrorists disguising as beautiful and konyotik na mga tourists you know. Haha :)
Ang my friends have heard this anecdote a thousand times na pero I will never get tired of telling the story over and over again>:p
POWERFUL with a capital P and OWERFUL! Walang ka-ere-ere nung sinabi nya yun! Kahit na ba labas sa ilong yun nung sinabi nya or kung talagang sincere man lang, at least proud ako na nahiya sa akin si Mayor Hagedorn dahil hindi man lang kami nakapag-gala dinner sa bahay nya. Charuz! Haha :) So bago pumasok sa arrival area eh mega-pose na naman kami with him sya pa nga ang nagsabi, "O dito na ba tayo magpipicturan!" Showbiz!!! And of course hari ng sablay na naman ako sa photo-op na ito!
Dahil dyan Mayor, kahit di ko napanood ang pelikula mo, forever kitang magiging idol!

I know you know that background music and that familiar voice-over... It's Uniwide Sales' Battle of the Brains.. and now your host, Mr. David Celdran! Too bad the show went off air due to sponsorship issues. Excluding the quiz show on Student Canteen, Battle of the Brains is the only quiz show of its kind. No fuss, like Jeopardy. The LG Quiz show was a far outcry - just fancy, not enough substance.
Yeah, that's me alright with my schoolmates, sisters and David Celdran, the host of the defunt Battle of the Brains, after winning the 2nd weekly eliminations for April 1994 . How come the big networks don't wanna produce game shows like this anymore? For those of you who watched that game show, do you ever recall that huge timer during the bonus round? Hehe. Winning the gameshow was my first paycheck , 1,030 pesos (we got around 4k). I remember buying Sterling Snoopy notebooks (or was it Catleya?), Pilot pens (was never a fan of Tombow, such a cheap imitation) and a fancy pop-up pencil case.
We lost to Bennedictine Abbey in the monthlies, but they totally deserved that since they ended up competing in the Grands. And you thought I was just good with jologs movies and songs!!! :p

Q: Ruffa has starred in her own massacre movie, which one was it?
A: Maricris Sioson, Japayuki
***
Tita Ruffa! Look at us we got the same taste! Pareho kaming sosyal!
Okay, okay, don't think naman na I am feeling ha. I was amused lang when I saw this month's Good Housekeeping cover. Eh I di ba I just got back from Palawan lang, so this picture was like so recent lang you know and GOd knows how much ang fabulous blouse ni Tita Ruffa compared to my SM-cheap swimsuit! :) And of course, without all the love handles and bulges in the wrong place and everything eh magkamukhang-magkamuha talaga kami! NOT! :p
Seriously, I adore her, with her konyo ways (and everythang!). Buti na lang she was able to redeem herself from that MMFF brouhaha - though come to think of it, we Filipinos are so forgiving that we'll still forgive her regardless of what she does. I enjoy watching her interviews because of her sing-song konyo accent that's not annoying naman (for me ha!), that black glamorosa hair and her witty answers and side comments. Like, this one time, (no, not in band camp you know) when interviewed about their chikitings' Turkish yayas visiting Pinas:
Ruffa to a TV Patrol reporter: "Oh my God I didn't know that you needed a visa to go to the Philippines!
Nakakaloka si Lola Ruffa! Walang ka-effort-effort!!! :)
For now, that's all I can say about Lola Ruffa. Enjoy some of her old-skool pictures!

Q: What's the name of the retail store Jolina opened in the 90's?
A: Jolina's Fashion Gallery
***
Parang gusto ko yatang bawiin yung previous statement ko na Kuya Germs is the epitome of Pinoy jologs, because if there's an epitome, it would have to be Jolina. Heck, te word "jologs" was born because of her! No, I'm not talking about the Jolina the Kapuso that we see today (yes, I am not a Kapuso though my first two entries in this blog are both Kapuso). I am talking about this Jolina:
Woohoot! That's the Jolina I'm talking about! Talagang we went to the shoot of Kung Ayaw Mo Wag Mo. Sayang kasi I haven't scanned the picture we have naman with Marvin Agustin! I miss that Jolina-crazy highlights - neon yellow and green mix and match days! By the way, that's me to her left, but I'm not the topic of this blog entry, am I? Back to Jolina, don't you love to hate her when she played as Bujoy in 'Labs Kita Okay Ka Lang?':
Bujoy to Ned (Marvin Agustin):"Oh yes kaibigan mo ako. Kaibigan mo lang ako, and that's all I ever was to you Ned. Your best friend...I'm so stupid to make the biggest mistake of falling in love with my best friend!"
That's it for now. More Jolina stuff for you jologs out there in the future! For the meantime, enjoy this AngTV clip! :)

Q: What's the title of Kuya Germ's weekly teen drama show aired on Channel 9?
A: Young Love, Sweet Love.
***
Kuya Germs, this blogsite is for you.
Yes, Pinoys who will say "ewww, that's jologs" are definitely welcome to browse, for I know you got what it takes survive all the ka-cheapan contained herein.
This is Pinoy Jologs in its purest form.
I bet people who know my love affair with anything jologs - Cinema One, PBO, Body Dancer and Rico Mambo, will not be surprised that I chose Kuya Germs to represent this jologs blog. He is the epitome of Pinoy Jologs, and I mean that in a good way!!! Special thanks, too, to Caloy, who discovered my jologs talent. Hehe :) He has put up an IRC Undernet channel - nostalgiamanila and acts as a stage mother for nostalgiamanila.blogspot.com, but his approach is more classy and nostalgic, mine is plain and simple jologs!
I am a self-proclaimed Pinoy pop trivia queen. My sister,Raina, is one, too! Superfren Momel, Juggie, Momon, Rhoda - we are all part of the jologs family. Together we create a world where Maricel Soriano and Tito Vic and Joey are icons. And yes again, there is a difference between classic and jologs trivia - for I'll just turn my back and ignore you if you ask me for Gloria Romero's first movie. Pinoy jologs trivia is more like those teeny-weeny details that we love to hate with anything showbiz. Still don't get what I mean????
What is the unofficial theme song of Connie Reyes On Camera?
The answer: It's My Turn by Diana Ross
Yun lang, Happy Reading!!! :)
